Alopecia areata (AA) exhibits considerable heterogeneity in its clinical presentation. Are you aware how this affects diagnosis, treatment, and patient quality of life?

This multi-part series focuses on AA in specific populations, including skin of color patients and adolescents. It will include three articles, a downloadable infographic, an expert-led webinar, and patient and physician interviews.

Over the next year, this series will provide a range of learning opportunities:

  • Understand diagnostic and severity assessment challenges in skin of color (SOC) patients, and review the best practices for diagnosing and managing AA in these patient populations
  • Review the treatment landscape for AA and how to tailor treatment for diverse patient populations
  • Learn about the psychosocial impacts of AA on patient lives and the importance of cultural sensitivity in clinical care
  • Understand the role of multidisciplinary care in addressing the psychosocial challenges of AA and improving patient outcomes
